Jonathan North, who was named General Manager with global responsibility for OptiLedge in 2008, joined the company in 2004 as Director of Operations. Prior to his most recent promotion, Mr. North served as Vice President Supply Chain Solutions.
In his four years at OptiLedge, Mr. North has worked to optimize the design of the OptiLedge in order to increase its relevancy to a wider customer base. In doing so, he has been awarded a design patent. He also helped develop the sales strategy for the mass merchandise retail sector.
During his 20-year career, Mr. North has developed extensive experience in international supply chain and logistics, in particular those channels involving grocery and mass merchandise. From 1992-2004, he worked for CHEP USA, the global leader in pallet and container pooling services, where his accomplishments include developing a rackable plastic pallet, establishing an international network of manufacturing locations, building third-party operations centers in Mexico and Chile, automating third-party operations centers in the US and Canada, and establishing a state-of-the-art materials and product testing facility in Florida.
Mr. North, who graduated in 1989 with an Honors Degree in Applied Physics from the University of Portsmouth in the UK, now lives in the US. He is a supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN.
