Best Buy Recognizes the OptiLedge as an Important Tool

Trend setting and highly successful retailer Best Buy has recently recognized the OptiLedge as an important tool to reduce product damage and create transportation savings.

Working extensively with OptiLedge Licensee: Unit Load Systems, LLC (www.unitloadsystems.com), Best Buy has implemented the OptiLedge for products shipping from overseas to the retailer's stores in North America and around the world.

Courtney Moseman, Manager, Import/Export Logistics confirms that "Best Buy has successfully used the OptiLedge system since approximately 2007. By shipping on the OptiLedge, Best Buy is able to realize supply chain savings on imported products from Asia. The OptiLedge reduces labor, improves supply chain efficiency and is an environmentally sustainable alternative to other shipping platforms. While any new SKU's would have to be pre-approved before they can ship to Best Buy on the OptiLedge, we welcome the chance to review these new opportunities."

Jeff Lamb, President of OptiLedge licensee Unit Load Systems added that "It's a genuine pleasure to work with a leading company like Best Buy. We are partnering to quickly grow our business in China and create significant savings for Best Buy at the same time. It's a real win/win."

The environmental benefits of using the OptiLedge at Best Buy have been further acknowledged in Best Buy's annual "Corporate Responsibility Report."
